The Ashes 2025–26 series between Australia and England are set to take place between 21 November 2025 and 8 January 2026.
The five-match series will form part of the 2025–2027 ICC World Test Championship.
Australia are the current holders of the Ashes, having won in 2021–22 and drawn in 2023.
Ashes 2025–26 Test series: Venues
The Ashes will be held across five different venues in Australia- Perth Stadium, Brisbane Cricket Ground, Adelaide Oval, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Perth Stadium will host the first Test of the series. This will be the first time the Perth Stadium will host an Ashes Test and will also mark the return of Ashes cricket to Perth, after the city was not included in the schedule for the 2021–22 series.
This will also mark the first Ashes series in Australia not to commence at Brisbane Cricket Ground in Brisbane, since the 1982–83 series. Brisbane will instead host the second Test of the series, which will be a day/night match.
Australia announced a 15-member squad for the highly anticipated 2025 Ashes series first Test. They will be captained by Steve Smith. He is filling the Pat Cummins’ shoes who is recovering from a lumbar bone stress injury. Travis Head serves as the vice-captain.
England had already announced their Ashes squad earlier, as the Ben Stokes-led team will be aiming to resurrect themselves in the World Test Championship.
