72nd Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championship Trials In Feb
The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association has officially announced the selection trials for the 72nd Senior National Kabaddi Championship (Men). This pivotal scouting event is scheduled to take place from February 4 to 6, 2026, at Subash Stadium, Udhampur, with proceedings commencing daily at 1:00 PM.
According to Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, the trials are open to male players across the Union Territory. To ensure a fair and competitive selection process, the following guidelines and requirements have been established:
Eligibility and Participation

Weight Limit: Players must weigh 85 kg or below.

Age Limit: There are no age restrictions for this senior-level category.

Affiliation: Dr. Gupta has called upon all affiliated districts and clubs within J&K to send their registered talent.

Government Employees: Players serving in Central Government departments or Central Armed Forces must provide prior departmental permission. Crucially, eligibility is restricted to those currently posted within the Jammu and Kashmir UT.
Mandatory Documentation
Participation is strictly reserved for players with a valid Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) registration card. Unregistered athletes will not be permitted to trial. Candidates must bring the following:

Two passport-size photographs.

Photocopies of Aadhar Card and Domicile Certificate.

A Medical Fitness Certificate and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parents.

Departmental permission/NOC (for government employees).
The National Stage
The athletes selected during these three days will form the J&K UT team. This squad will travel to Vadodara, Gujarat, to compete in the 72nd Senior National Kabaddi Championship, held at the Indoor Complex from February 24 to 27, 2026.
