Bangladesh To Host First Kabaddi Test Series In 50 Years, Will Play Against Nepal

In an exciting news for Kabaddi fans, Bangladesh is set to host Nepal in a five-match men’s Kabaddi test series. The kabaddi tournament is scheduled to take place this month in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) general secretary SM Nawaz Shohag confirmed that the Nepal men’s kabaddi team would arrive in the national capital on February 20 to take part in the series.
When will the Bangladesh Vs Nepal Kabaddi test series be held?
There will be five matches of Bangladesh Vs Nepal Kabaddi test series scheduled to be held on February 22, 23, 25, 26 and 28.
Where will the Bangladesh Vs Nepal Kabaddi test series be held?
All the matches will be played at Paltan ground in Dhaka.
The BKF informed that they have planned out a tentative itinerary for the series but all will be finalized after the arrival of the Nepal team in Dhaka.
Bangladesh to host the first Kabaddi test series in 50 years
But by inviting Nepal, Bangladesh will be hosting the first Test series in 50 years.
Last time the nation hosted a Test series was against India in 1974.
Initially, Bangladesh had invited Sri Lanka for this month’s Test series. The island nation first accepted the offer but later, on January 29, requested to reschedule the tour.
Sri Lanka wanted to play the Test series from April 22 to 30 this year. They also invited the Bangladesh kabaddi team for test series in Sri Lanka in June- July, 2025.

Bangladesh women’s Kabaddi team to visit Nepal next month?
Replying to a quarry, Shohag informed they would also send Bangladesh women’s kabaddi team to Nepal next month.
“Nepal have also invited us to send our women’s kabaddi team there (Nepal)…. we’ll discuss regarding the issue with the officials of Nepal when they will come in Dhaka during the test series…. but yes we’ll sent our women’s team to Nepal likely next month,” Shohag informed.
