The UEFA Champions League kicked off in a brand new format for the 2024-25 season. Thirty-six teams entered into the new “league phase,” and now there are 16 remaining following an exciting playoffs.
While the top eight sides in the league stage directly qualified for the knock-outs, teams which finished from ninth place to 24th participated in a two-legged play-offs. The eight teams which won the play-offs then entered the Round of 16, joining the eight sides which had directly qualified.
UEFA Champions League 2024-25: Round of 16 Draw
The draw for the Champions League round of 16 was held Friday, February 21. As per the draw result, the fixtures have been determined as follows:
- Paris Saint-Germain vs Liverpool
- Club Brugge vs Aston Villa
- Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid
- PSV Eindhoven vs Arsenal
- Feyenoord vs Inter Milan
- Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen
- Borussia Dortmund vs Lille
- Benfica vs Barcelona
UEFA Champions League round of 16 schedule
The matches will be played March 4-5 and 11-12, with the seeded sides away in the first leg.
