Dabang Delhi KC edged Puneri Paltan 31–28 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium to lift their second Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title. The 2021–22 champions became the first home team since U Mumba (Season 2) to win the trophy on home soil.
Delhi held nerves in pressure situation. Neeraj Narwal (8 raid points) and Ajinkya Pawar (6 points) spearheaded their attack, while Fazel Atrachali sealed the victory with a decisive last-minute tackle on Aditya Shinde.
For Puneri Paltan, Shinde starred with a Super 10, and Abinesh Nadarajan scored four tackle points, but their spirited comeback fell just short.
The Delhi led 20–14 at half-time after Neeraj’s super raid and Pawar’s all-out, before Pune rallied late through Shinde’s raids to narrow the margin to a single point. However, veteran Atrachali’s defensive brilliance in the dying seconds ensured Delhi’s triumph.
As the home crowd erupted, Fazel Atrachali also made history by becoming the most successful foreign player in PKL history, adding another milestone to Delhi’s night of glory.
PKL 12: Prize Money
Champions Dabang Delhi K.C. were rewarded Rs 3 crore for lifting the trophy, while the other finalists, Puneri Paltan, took home Rs 1.8 crore.
