IPL 2025 Revised Schedule: Check Out New Venues, Timings

After a brief pause, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to resume on May 17, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed.

As the tournament was nearing its playoffs, IPL 2025 season was suspended for a week in wake of India-Pakistan conflict. With a ceasefire between the two nations in place, the suspension has been rolled back.

As per the new schedule, a total of 17 matches will be played across six venues – Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. 

The tournament resumes on May 17 with the IPL 2025 final scheduled on June 3. The revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host the Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the first match marking the resumption.

The IPL 2025 had been on hold since the mid-match abandonment of the May 8 fixture between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala. The match will be replayed on May 24 in Jaipur.

Matches previously scheduled in sensitive zones have been reassigned to alternate venues.

Venue details for the IPL playoff matches will be announced at a later stage.

As it stands, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, and Mumbai Indians occupy the top four spots in the IPL 2025 points table.

Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants remain in the IPL 2025 playoff contention. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated.

This is the second time in IPL history that the tournament has been suspended mid-season. The 2021 edition was disrupted due to a COVID-19 outbreak and later completed in the UAE.
