Mumbai Indians (MI) are more than a team. They are an emotion o their fans. They are one of the most loved franchises in the world of cricket leagues.

Owned by the Ambani family, Mumbai Indians are the joint-most successful team in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, with five titles. The success of the franchise have led the owners to expand their outreach across the world with affiliated teams in other countries.

In a show of dominance, the MI Family has managed to clinch titles in every T20 league that they have a presence in.

MI owns seven teams in five countries, including men’s and women’s teams. They recently added the Oval Invincibles from the Hundred to the list of franchises they already own.

List of titles won by MI franchises

MI franchises have won a total 13 different titles, thus far. This also makes them the franchise with the most titles across all T20 cricket leagues around the world.

Mumbai Indians have five IPL titles and share the number with arch-rival Chennai Super Kings. All their IPL trophies were won under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.  Their first IPL title came in 2013 and they also went on to win Champions League T20 that year. Notably, as a franchise their first trophy came in the form of Champions League T20 in 2011. They have a total of two CLT2 titles. 

The Mumbai Indians achieved major milestones in 2023. That year, they won the first edition of the Women’s Premier League and the inaugural season of Major League Cricket. The year 2025 has turned out to be even bigger, where they have won three titles so far- SA20, Women’s Premier League and Major League Cricket. 

The franchise won the second edition of International League T20 in 2024.
