1. Manchester United – 13 Titles
Manchester United are the most successful club in Premier League history, having won the competition 13 times. All these titles came under Sir Alex Ferguson, who led them to 13 league championships between 1993 and 2013. The most recent of their 13 Premier League titles came in 2012-13, Ferguson’s last as manager. United were a dominant force in the 1990s and early 2000s.
2. Manchester City – 8 Titles
Manchester City has 8 Premier League titles to their name. Their first trophy came in the 2011-12 season with Sergio Agüero scoring. They followed it up in the 2013-14, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons.
However, it is under Pep Guardiola that City became a beast. They set a then-record of 100 points in winning the Premier League in 2017-18. Their most recent trophy came in 2023-24, the season where they also won a treble.
3. Chelsea – 5 Titles
Chelsea as a club was struggling in the early 2000s and was on the verge of a financial crisis. But their fortunes changed after Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic took over the club in 2003 and pumped in millions to help the club achieve tons of success.
Just one year after the takeover, Chelsea won its first-ever league title and reclaimed the title the following season. The Blues continued the impressive performances through the following seasons and claimed three more Premier League titles.
4. Arsenal – 3 Titles
The Gunners have three three Premier League titles so far. They lifted their first title was in the 1997-1998 then a second in 2001-2002 but their crowning glory was in the 2003-2004 season where they went the entire campaign unbeaten, a feat which has never been surpassed in the annals of the Premier League.
